I will only accept an alternative browser application if it is sufficiently like Finder in terms of features and design. One can use the keyboard shortcut methods, which involve stages like an opening page to search, press Ctrl+F in the windows and Linux, and using Command + F on Mac, then typing the word to search and finally pressing Enter. Internet Explorer 10 on the desktop works just like on a regular computer.
From here you can either choose to Import All New Items or select a batch and click Import Selected. If you don’t see the Import screen, click on your iPhone or camera in the Photos sidebar under Devices. I don't want to use grep or another application. The Photos app will show you an Import screen that has all the photos and videos on your iPhone or camera.
How can I make Finder search in files' contents? I presume that on the older version of Mac OS X, when Finder searched file contents, it didn't change the Last opened date of each file, too (which is how I want it). This has bugged me for several years, but now I'm done ignoring it.
I'm on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan right now and there is no such choice of buttons (i.e., between Names and Contents). If Contents was selected, then Finder would look inside files for the text that is typed into the search bar. In Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, and possible Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, there were two more buttons all the way over to the right that said Names (or maybe it was Filenames) and Contents. Click on File Contents and it will perform a search within the files for the keyword 'test'.
You should see a list of items from previous searches. SCROLL to the bottom of the search results you can see the following: Search again in: Libraries / Computer / Custom / Internet / File Contents. Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder you want to search within. Starting from the left side of this bar, there is the text Search: and next to it there are two buttons that say This Mac and the name of the current folder in double quotes. At first windows will search for all files that have 'test' as part of the file name, but if you. You can search the visible HTML on a page by doing a search and find on the standard page. In Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard through at least Mac OS X 10.11 El Captain, when you typed in the search box in Finder, a silver bar would appear below it. When you need to search within a site for a certain word, use the Search and Find keyboard shortcuts on your Mac or PC.
